ABOUT COURSES OFFERED:
1. REMOTE PILOT LICENSE (RPL) TRAINING
The Remote Pilot License (RPL) training course is one of the critical requirements for anyone looking to operate any drone commercially. This is offered as Multi Rotor Fixed Wing or a combination. The RPL Multi Rotor course costs Kshs—200,000 with a 10% discount available.
The 3–week RPL Multi Rotor training course is divided into two sections:
- One week of theory training followed by three days of examinations.
- Five days of one-on-one practical flight training with an instructor for a minimum of 5 flight hours, followed by a skill test by a KCAA examiner to determine competence.
RPL Multi-Rotor and Fixed Wing available
Training is classroom-based, and online classes are offered subject to quorum.
2. RPL CONVERSION PROGRAM
KCAA accredits this course and allows the holder of an RPL license issued in an ICAO contracting state to be issued with a Kenyan RPL license and applicable ratings on its completion.
The RPL conversion is a 3-day program comprising Air Law, Navigation, Flight Planning, Risk Assessment, and Radio Telephony. Course costs begin from Kshs. 50,000.

3. BEYOND VISUAL LINE OF SIGHT (BVLOS) TRAINING
BVLOS Training is the operation where the remote pilot cannot maintain direct, unaided visual contact with the remotely piloted aircraft to manage its safe flight and to meet separation and collision avoidance responsibilities visually.
4. SPECIALIZED UAS APPLICATIONS COURSE
Specialized UAS applications training gives you the ability to be industry-ready and enables you to solve specific local problems using drone technology. These include aerial mapping, photography/videography, inspection , and agriculture.
5. RPL INSTRUCTOR RATING
The RPL Instructor rating allows the recipient to undertake training and supervision of candidates for the RPL course
6. RPL RENEWAL
The RPL Renewal course allows candidates to revalidate/renew their Remote Pilot License. Fahari Aviation offers the option of theory and a practice session for practical flying before the test if required.
